Nova Scotia, August 24, 2010

The red cliffs on the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia

First Baptist Church in Amherst, NS
See the statues of the man and woman, they
are carved from tree trunks. We looked around inside the church,
they were selling their church cookbooks, so I bought a couple.

Pretty houses and flowering bush (are they peonie?) in Amherst

The seaside in Nova Scotia, Northumberland Strait

Wallace by the Sea, NS

Going down to the Bay of Fundy, NS

We were on the Glooscap Scenic Trail, NS

Someone on the hillside picking wild blueberries.
Blueberries and logging are major industries here.

Just pretty countryside

Wild blueberry field

A pretty place

Faces carved into a tree trunk in Amherst, NS

Coming into Nova Scotia (about an hour's drive
south of Moncton). A definite Scottish influence
here - and there are no English/French street
signs, only English. It would be easy to forget
you were in Canada and not the US except
service stations and restaurants were hard to find.
